Story guidelines
Tell us what you know; show us what you love!
We're always looking for engaging stories — in particular, those that are personal, funny, and encouraging. Remember that JPG is all about the love of photography, and sharing your world through photos. Of course we welcome stories on technique, but we're not an instruction manual, so please keep it personal!
The best way to write for JPG is to read JPG! Want to get a feel for what makes a good story? Check out some of the stories we've published in previous issues.
Don't plagiarize
Linking to or briefly quoting from other sources is fine, but your words should be precisely that — yours.
Don't spam
We love hearing reviews for great photo gadgets in the context of "My Precious" stories; however, we will not allow commercial advertising veiled as personal stories, nor will we accept paid placements. We will remove stories that violate this policy. Please contact us if you have any questions.
