Why do I sometimes have to login, after I've already logged in?
Sometimes, when I've logged into jpg here, I go to access my page etc, and am re-directed back out to the login page I had just came from?
Why would I have to re-log in to "disappear an ad?"
This seems frivilous and redundant.

Just click on any of the headers (photos, stories, features, etc.) and you will see that you are still logged in.

Hmm. When you login it tries to send you back to the last page you were on before you logged in. It may be having trouble figuring out what your last page was prior to the login and thinking the last page was the login page itself. For example if you access the login page directly from a bookmark in your browser there would be no previous page and could cause this.
If it's not happening right after you just logged in but later when browsing the site then that would mean something has removed or caused the browser not to send the session cookie we use to determine if you are logged in.
Could you please send to support@jpgmag.com the steps you did whenever this happens?
And Bailey is correct, if you are truly logged in clicking to another page will show in the headers that you are logged in by displaying your Profile link instead of the Login link.
