Why are some of the contest photos obviously photoshopped?
The conditions on all the contests say to do nothing but bolor balance and adjusting for sharpness, but there are many photos in every contest that are clearly photoshopped in big ways. If this is against the criteria, why are they allowed? What does jpgmag.com do to assure they don't win prizes that should go to folks who submit genuinely derived photos that follow the rules?

The contest photos are not curated by JPG staff they are selected based upon votes from the community. If a photo is not right for the contest theme, is clearly photo shopped, or "breaks the rules" by not following the photo guidelines I don't vote for it and neither should anyone else (IMO). Basically it all comes down to user integrity. I think it would be impossible for staff members to police up every photo that breaks or bends the photo guidelines. In light of this I do hope in the future JPG incorporates staff curated contest to go along with the community votes.
