Attention New York—Manhattanhenge is today and tomorrow

Posted by Adam Hurly on 29 May 2008.

Thanks to a tip from member Clint Spaulding, we've been informed of Manhattanhenge, which occurs in NYC tonight and tomorrow at sunset. The sun filters through the city's skyline grid and bathes the streets in a bright light.
Here's the deal. Sunset in New York is 8:19 tonight, and not much later tomorrow. We would love it if those of you in the Big Apple could document this moment, post your best photos, and include the word "Manhattanhenge" in the photo description. We'll gather the pictures next week and blog the results.
We wish we could see it ourselves, but fortunately we have you to help!
