Community Round-up!

Before we all head out to enjoy this beautiful weekend, we wanted to share some news from the JPG community. Thanks for all the tips everybody!
- Hey Keystone State Photo Lovers! JPGer Andrew Smith is planning a very exciting (and free) workshop in the very historical town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Mark you calendar for Sunday September 14th for a Photowalk of Gettysburg. A bunch of photographers with differing levels of experience will be meeting up to shoot, make new friends, learn a few new tricks, and of course take in some Gettysburg history. If you're interested in learning more about this photo walk, you can check out Andrew's website for all necessary information or send him a message through his his JPG profile!
- JPG member Mr. T is back with a new workshop on July 27th in Portland. This time, he's bringing a strobe light and hot lights to experiment with lighting styles. Be sure to message Mr. T if you're interested—his workshops rock.
- We also keep hearing word from more and more excited JPGers whose work has been selected for the Photos For Health initiative, a program where selected images are displayed in different hospitals in the Indianapolis area to inspire patients, families, and health care professionals. This program is actually open for submissions until September 7, 2008 and all the information is available on the
Photos for Health Website. So more congrats to Michelle Lane, Audrey Kanekoa-Madrid, Julie Norris and Mary-Ann Lewis, Amelia Quicke and all the other JPG members whose works have been selected! A list with additional members is being updated here. - Congrats also go out to JPG Member Ahmer Inam whose image was selected to be exhibited at the Light Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina. If you're in the Charlotte area, be sure to check out his masterpiece hanging July 12th-September 12th!
