Tomorrow: Bay Area Photo Workshop
Posted by Adam Hurly on 18 July 2008.
Attention Bay Area JPGers: tomorrow there is a photography workshop on Treasure Island, hosted by community member and JPG intern, the ever-amazing Christina McNeill. Treasure Island is home to an abandoned Navy Base and is only accessible via the Bay Bridge. Everyone will be meeting in the very first parking lot. It's on the right-hand side, next to the harbor and immediately before the main gate.
The shoot is from 11a.m.-2p.m. Christina has secured plenty of models, and the focus of the shoot is learning a few tricks about simple portraiture. Of course, the perk is meeting other photographers, and it's going to be a relaxing, fun setting. The main idea is to create a vintage feel with the photos, as Treasure Island has a very old, rundown vibe.
If you're interested in this workshop, please message Christina ASAP and she will give you more details. She would like an accurate head count, so any advance notice is appreciated. And in case you need any reassurance that Christina knows a thing or two, why not check out her website?
Hope to see you on Treasure Island. A few of us JPG staffers will be there, too!
