JPG Meet-Up: Light-painting!

Posted by Jen Giese on 26 August 2008.

Wow... JPG, Photojojo, AND Lomography?! New Yorkers and San Franciscans: our latest meet-up is not to be missed. On Wednesday September 3rd the best of both coasts will be combining some magical light painting forces at our favorite parks.

In collaboration with Photojojo and the always lovely Lomography we're hosting, thats right, a light painting meet-up at Dolores Park (SF) and Union Square Park (NY). Lomography is gracious enough to loan some of their new Diana+ cameras and film for eager early arrivals. Best of all, five painters of the night will be able to keep those Diana+ cameras as souvenirs! Plus, everyone attending will get coupon vouchers to Photojojo's online store.

Never fear light-painting newbies, short intros on light painting will be given to those who aren't in the know. Beginners-luck may land you with a brand new Diana+ camera.

Let's re-hash...

Are in SF, meet us at Dolores Park (under the statue of Miguel Hidalgo in the middle of the park)!
Are in NY, meet us at Union Square Park (under the George Washington Statue)!
September 3rd, 2008 7PM
A digital camera, or a film camera (with a B setting), a light source (ipods, flashlights, glowsticks, light-sabers) and some friends!

RSVP at, or just come!

NYC folks RSVP here

So if you're in the area don't miss out on JPG's latest and greatest meet-up. Rest assured we'll all be there with cameras in hand--and after the sun goes down all will be let loose to paint the darkness.
