Photo Challenge: Hamburgers

Posted by Lauren Sloss on 3 September 2008.

When it comes to things I crave, burgers often are on the top of the list. Anything that involves bread, cheese, and meat (or a meat substitute, if that's how you roll) really can't go wrong. So, in honor of this truly legendary (dare I say...) food group, we've created a new photo challenge dedicated to capturing the ham (veggie, turkey, any) burger in all it's glory.

Our friends from Hamburger Eyes will be helping us out with this challenge. While it has little to do with the fine art of hamburger shots, Hamburger Eyes is a fantastic magazine highlighting avant garde, cutting edge photography, with a focus on black and white and street photos. In fact, they have a very exciting exhibition opening September 11 in San Francisco, The Young Jerks.

This challenge is all about turning the hamburger into art (think Warhol!), but your art is already making me hungry. Here are some great examples, already posted to the challenge.
