New theme: The Great Outdoors
Posted by — 21 Oct 2008
Ah, mother nature- the force of all things both cruel and lovely. And also the subject of our newest theme The Great Outdoors.
I may not be the best person to write a blog post in praise of the "Great Outdoors." Lets face it, as a San Franciscan and self-appointed "city girl," my version of hiking involves a soy latte in one hand and an iPod in the other.
Alright, I do love me some trees every now and then. In fact I've noticed that a good deal of my favorite photos on JPG are in homage to nature in some way. I suppose the lack of wild frontier-ing in my life makes it more fun to thumb through all the picturesque photos on JPG (something I'd much rather be doing than 'roughing it').
So JPGers, humor me, show me what my outdoorsy apprehensions have caused me to miss. Maybe it will get me to go the park or something. After I get a latte of course.
Share your breathtakingly beautiful photos with us on the JPG themes page to show us what you love about the great outdoors.
Here are a few of my favorite shots that have already popped up under The Great Outdoors:
