Seth and the City!

So excited! I heart New York!

Seth and I just booked our flights to the 2009 NY Photo Festival, which is running May 13th to 17th in a neighborhood of Brooklyn called Dumbo (no joke--it stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass). I was shocked to learn that this is the FIRST international photography event in the United States.

The New York Photo Festival has a contemporary edge, and will focus on the newest trends in photography. If you'd like to network with other photographers and be a part of the festival, there is still time to submit your own work to the New York Photo Awards. Click here for the details on how to submit.

JPG's very own Seth Familian will be speaking Thursday, May 14th at 7pm about JPG as a mechanism for talent discovery, and how it will soon offer emerging artists more tools to get their work discovered and sold. This is an interactive discussion (not a boring presentation), so if you attend you can be a part of the conversation.

Want to meet for a drink afterward? Seth and I are thinking of hosting a JPG meet-up after the talk. Send me a message on JPG if you are interested in attending. We will keep you posted!

Hope to see some of you in New York. Before you register, make sure to check out our sweet festival discounts - only for JPG members!
