Submit to the San Francisco Slideluck Potshow
Posted by Kit Richert — 1 May 2009
Hello JPG! I wanted to spread the word about a free event here in the San Francisco Bay area. Next Friday (May 8th) is the awesome Bay Area arts event Slideluck Potshow SF II.
And what IS a Slideluck Potshow? Well, it's a potluck slideshow.  Slideluck (as it's affectionately known) is a non-profit arts organization that provides an opportunity for artists and art-appreciators to gather, bring and share food, make new friends, and enjoy great art. Each Slideluck has a theme, so its the perfect event for a JPG member!
The theme for this Slideluck is NOURISHMENT and photographers, painters, and artists of all kinds are encouraged to submit cohesive, creative, and thought-provoking pieces that speak to NOURISHMENT of all kinds — physical, spiritual, environmental, creative, etc.
One half of the show will be unthemed, and General-topic entries will also be accepted
So where do the slideshows come from? You submit the artwork! The renowned photographer Michael Jang, will be helping to create the slideshows.
Submit your artwork by MONDAY MAY 4th. Then on May 8th, whip up your favorite NOURISHMENT -- seven-layer dip, lobster ravioli, tea leaf salad, barbecue tofu, or Meyer lemon bars -- and join in for a slammin’ slideshow. Â
