Conceptual photography, a type of photography that illustrates an idea, let's you really mine the the 'heart' of your image, the meaning to viewers. Conceptual photography in advertising might leverage artful staging or imaginative visual 'narrative' as a way to 'sell' the image as much as (or in some cases more than) the product they're marketing. Images in this style can be a play on words: "Fishy Water" or "Fruit Punch". The play on words might be cute and funny, or, like "Stealing a little luck" or "Something to Cling to", are thought provoking.
The below images are outstanding examples of from among the JPG community of conceptual photography and, while not necessarily staged to visualize a predetermined commercial concept, illustrate the methodology with style!
