Light You Up
Many photographers consider light to be the main element in any photograph. How a subject is lit, where the capture is made to best accentuate the subject in the light (or absence of light) can make or break an image.
Where and how is the light created and positioned? What is the angle? Is your subject lit with a flash? Are you 'making motion' at night with tail-lights or stars?
Thinking about light lets you play with your exposure and really flex your creative muscle.
To have a shot at this prize, enter images with striking use of light.
The prize pool will grow with entries, so get them in and invite your friends!
Remember, you can enter images shot by other members (and get a chance to win 15% of the prize, if that image wins - while the original photographer will win 85%) - This is a great way to give props to the work of great photogs around the site and potentially get a little reward for finding (and entering, on behalf of the submitting member) the winning image.
Consider this a challenge to curate the best entries from throughout the site... show us that you can both capture and curate amazing images!
It is the photographing of ordinary things, in extraordinary light, which results in extraordinary photographs. - David Young
