JPG Member Interview: Raymond Barberousse

Posted by David Ozanich — 9 Nov 2010

This week for the JPG Member Interview, we're talking to Raymond Barberousse.

Where are you based out of? You seem to do quite a bit of traveling - it looks like Asia and Africa are among your destinations.

I live in Chicago, moved here over 3 years ago from DC.  I learned how much of an amazing city Chicago is just from walking or riding around taking pictures.

I was hit pretty hard by the travel bug while in architecture school at Howard University when myself and a group of students went on an amazing month long architectural tour of Europe where we managed to see 22 cities in 9 different countries. Since then I've been hooked on traveling.  The last 2 major trips my wife and I have taken have been to India for her sister's wedding. We traveled through India for a month (which turned out to be the most amazing travel experience yet), and a year later we had the opportunity to visit a friend who was living in Dakar, Senegal as well.  I took hundreds of photographs in both countries and to this day I'm still trying to sort all of them out and share with my fellow JPGers.
