  • NPR looks back at the “great Life photographers.” There’s a new paperback version of the 2004 collection “The Great Life Photographers” available now.

  • Speaking of public broadcasting, PBS debuts its 6-hour series called “Circus” tonight. Here’s a review of the show and a slide show of performers in the rings.
