Swedish Couple's Rescue Provides Incredible Photos of Ice Floes

Posted by David Ozanich — 5 Jan 2011

A Swedish couple was enjoying an afternoon of long-distance ice-skating (which is an activity I didn't know existed) when the frozen waters shattered leaving them stranded on one of thousands of ice floes. They were rescued by helicopter after calling "SOS" on her cell phone, but the rescuers couldn't help but snap these incredible images of the panoramic vistas and the trapped couple. More on the story from Fox News. You can click to enlarge the photos.
