Paparazzi Photos Lead to Lindsay Lohan Arrest

Photography in the headlines! The one blazing across the homepage of the Los Angeles Times as its top story right now is "Paparazzi shots used to build Lohan case". The story refers to the fact that the infamous actress is being arraigned on felony grand theft charges today after being accused of using the five-finger-discount at a Los Angeles jewelry store:

Store video and paparazzi photos are among the evidence authorities have collected as prosecutors plan to charge Lindsay Lohan with stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store, sources have told The Times.

The law enforcement sources said police have a video from the store showing Lohan wearing the necklace. Authorities also have collected paparazzi photos taken at a later date showing Lohan wearing the necklace in public, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing.

Just thought y'all should know. Gotta love the paps in L.A. The photo in this post is by Damian Dovarganes of the Associated Press photographing another photographer photographing what I presume to be the display case from which the famed necklace was stolen. Enjoy your meta-Wednesday.
