Postcards from New York Fashion Week

Posted by David Ozanich — 14 Feb 2011

It's Fashion Week here in New York City and all the beautiful people are taxiing about the town from show to show getting their first tastes of the new looks for Fall. JPG will keep you posted on some of the more photo-worthy moments from the scene.

One JPG Member, Kristen Philipkoski, is following the proceedings on her blog Stylenik. Below is her photograph of an attendee waiting for the Rebecca Minkoff show to begin on day two. See more of her coverage of the first half of the week in her "Best of" photo roundup.

The always droll and insightful Cathy Horyn, fashion critic for the New York Times, is letting her thoughts be known as well, both in her reviews and at her blog On the Runway. They also have a comprehensive set of slideshows from all the collections which is quite fun to browse through. You can be a fly-on-the-wall at some of the big parties. Below is an AP image from the Alexander Wang show.

Finally, street-style maestro The Sartorialist is pointing his famous camera at the denizens of big fashion making their way to and from the tents. A rare shot of Anna Wintour sans bodyguards below. The picture at the top of the post is his too.
