Mar Doré, an artist, discovered a box of vintage Mardi Gras photographs in her family's Texas home. Her father took these pictures on February 12th and 14th, 1956. She's used them, along with vintage film strips, as the basis for this short film celebrating her father who died from cancer in 1991.

Doré says, "These photographs celebrate his memory, and even though I've not yet found his face in those crowds, the photographs themselves illustrate the joy he took in capturing the spirit of Mardi Gras and its wonderful celebration of life."

Happy Mardi Gras, y'all!
