I was fortunate to have been the art director of a fine weekly newspaper, the The Santa Barbara Independent (formerly the News & Review), which was run by the former editor of Rolling Stone Magazine. The paper has always placed importance on top-notch photography and over the span of 10 years, I worked with exceptional photographers like Christopher Gardner and Kim Reiserson.
