I am retired and have been an avid amateur photographer for 40 years. I've owned a variety of cameras starting with a Canon Pellix, Leica IIIf, Canon F1, etc, and used a Canon 30D and a Canon Elph SD780IS when I started in JPG. Wildlife and people (candid) are my favorite subjects although I also photograph sports car racing on occasion. I sold my Leica M6 and lenses as much as it pained me. I now have a Canon 5D MkII, and it is beyond awesome.

Q: I am really into my wildlife photography but cannot afford a super zoom lens, I have a 300mm and am considering a teleconvertor. Has anybody had a experience with these and would you recommend them?
A: Do you know?
