Having a lack of interest in academia Saikat started travelling around the country & abroad. During this time photography had started as a passion. Soon he began education on it and chose it as his profession. He completed Graduation of photography from Pathshala.
A photo Documentary on gypsies “A Tale of Unhindered People” by Saikat was part of International photography festival Chobi Mela-V and The Museum of Photography Metenkov House (Russia, Yekaterinburg).
