I'm a British amateur photographer who is beginning to get a variety of work published. My subject matter is very varied, but travelling a great deal provides a great many opportunities to capture great photographs. I try to go for the definitive image of whatever I'm shooting, and this has helped me 'think like a picture editor'. Having a background as an illustrator has also given me a good grounding in colour balance, lighting and composition, which I think are my strong points.
