I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer living as an expatriate in Okinawa Japan. I love this place for it's rich history, culture, and natural beauty. Presently, I supplement my retirement as a freelance writer and photographer for a weekly newspaper.

My specialty is the photo essay. Any real photographers perusing the site will probably note that my pictures aren't necessarily spectacular on their own. Thats because I select my photographs to tell the story I want the readers to see.
