I never thought I’d be interested in photography. I didn’t think I’d be very good at it because I’m legally blind. Then I got a digital camera for Christmas. Only a few months before I was diagnosed with Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome, a very rare genetic disorder that causes life threatening complications. In hopes of generating more interest in HPS, our story, our need for funding and our search for the cure, I started documenting my HPS life in writing and through pictures.
