I am originally from Kayseri, Turkey and was raised in the Cappadocia region of the country. During my childhood, I was exposed to a myriad of fascinating geographic features such as Mt. Erciyes which stood like a sentinel in the very centre of the city, The fairy chimney caves in the area and the Kapuzbasi waterfalls which abounded with an exotic array of birdlife.
My fascination and love of the outdoors led to an academic pursuit of photography at the post-secondary level.
