has been a member since Sep 2008 and goes by lindwood.

I teach art to kids, and live in a 100 year old farmhouse in a hilly part of Texas with my writer/photographer husband. I am an equestrian photographer for a large Gypsy Vanner Horse Ranch, and I am a portriat/fine art photographer. I have taught semester long photography classes to fifth graders, and they loved it. I shoot with Canon gear. I love looking at everyone's awesome work here on JPG and am grateful for the friends I have made here. I have been published in "Savvy Times" equestrian mag

Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?
