I have strange encounters with animals..birds mostly (hummingbird,red tail hawk and I "befriended" a wild bald eagle) but the elk recently showed itself to my boyfriend..that elk laid down about 6 feet from me and went to sleep and snored in unison with my honey who was sleeping close by in the tent..when my honey got loud the elk got loud when my honey gurgled and snorted due to sleep apthia(sp?) the elk gurgled and snorted..craziest thing
