Today we take photos for granted. They are our memories of holidays and parties, of people and places. An explosion of cameras and places to share them (Facebook, twitter, instagram) …

The more I learn about photography and making photographs, the less photos I produce. A great month is when I have a photograph that wow's me.

Quality not quantity.

Unfortunately I have many many photographs. Two hundred and fifty thousand is the very conservative estimate but it's probably much higher. I have learned a lot of things and also forgotten much in the process. As my friend Marco Martinez stated above it's now about quality and less the quantity.
We all should be striving for that photograph that Wows us.

sometimes quantity will lead to quality...should we stop using that age old cliche...keep shooting?
Thomas Wiederhold said (5 Oct 2011):
SLR Digitals give us the freedom to shoot more and experiment more without the costs of waiting to see the print to find that "wow" picture. I had always been told, shoot shoot and shoot more and print a contact sheet. Now I can shoot and play with settings and it doesn't cost me a dime. 10 or 1,000 it's all the same,, so let the shutter flutter!
