this is trev. my boy. my bro, my brah. he's just a complete ruler. he got me into photography. enough said.
so we went on this trip to byron bay. to cause, a little trouble. just a little. like why was he walkin down the main street at 2.00am in his boxers? anyway, he taught me sooo much that weekend. i hadn't even bought a camera yet. so, we sat sat on this balcony. here. right here. and he fed me the intricacies of lens wisdom. including a little thing called gonzo photography. sweet idea. the photographer can be in the photo but not the subject? the photographer can also be the subject too?
"lets say your taking the photo. there's a scene in there and your in it."
"what are you talking about trev?"
so a little fine tuning to my minimal knowledge and some guidance, then i shot this. trev was stoked. i was stoked. yew.
these days my camera is like an american express card. i don't leave home with out it. i look at all things totally differently now. all thanks to this guy.
thanks blue.
i know you'll hate this. '
but i love ya.
eeeep! *runs away*
(mate c'mon. i had too.)
no editing here. apparently another component for gonzo.

that is a hero indeed. i love that hes putting out a cigarette, its the long lost frame that comes after the classic smoking/blowing smoke shot.

I want to leave some sort of short comment about this photo to show that I like it and was just revisiting it, but the comment I wanted to originally leave was too short to post, so you get this long ass one instead. enjoy!

Victoria Bitter rocks! It won't take me long after we land in Melbourne on the 27th to find a pub and down a glass.

Hey, Petey! Cool shot and story. Like that tatoo. Gonzo sounds cool. Like Stephen King did in some of his movies. He would just be in there somewhere. Glad you have a friend to expound on Lens knowledge. I suffer from Lens confusion! Hahaha

Great port. Catching people in their vices and elements really shows their true selves. This is great!
