Used slow shutter speed to feather the water, and a rear curtain sync flash to keep the foreground from washing out.

Thanks for posting the technique. I’ve never really known just what to do with the rear curtain sync flash, but I see it in your results. I've always liked the "cotton candy" effect of a slow shutter speed on moving water. It's really a beautiful photograph, Bob. R
