Before I went to China, I heard bad things about how female children were treated, or accepted.
This photograph, however, shows just one example of the many times I saw adults treating little girls with great respect and much love.
This man --that I can only assume was a grandfather-- spent quite a bit of time talking to this girl about the historic trolley car (and comparing it to her "Disney Princess" bike!).
Later, I observed him teaching her about different types of tea at the Ten Ren shop.
