I met Prem in march 2006 and little after I asked him to pose with me for a self-portrait. I was amazed at this shot. It looked we were the perfect couple, we look so balanced. It was this picture which made me decide to buy a house with him and live together. At the beginning it was tough, we are opposite characters and we've had many doubts about our decision. But the house was there, a huge mortgage...so we had to make our relationship work. After two years of this picture I feel the happiest woman on earth. I think getting old is fantastic...

Lo que hicsites fue una locura, pero tan romantico y atrevido que no puedo mas que felicitarte por tu valentia. La foto esta estupenda por si sola, pero con la historia es sumamente inspiradora y va mas alla pues de alguna manera toca el alma.

This is so good. It lends so much hope to people our age (saying "Yes, things still can work out ok"). Thanks for sharing this intensely private moment.

Really excellent, everything about it from the lighting to the posing. The use of a horizontal frame throws off any notions of a traditional portrait. Well done.
