The photo is a self-portrait taken with my old Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1.
The feeling was awesome: the spider (called Cross-Spider) was between me& my camera; and because the camera is not so good in macro mode, I had to stay very still close to the web. It was a little bit creepy but I think it worthed ;)

great! i did a couple of similar spider-self-portrets, but i just couldn't get it right (maybe i didn't come close enough to the spider, or this spider is bigger than the one i photographed, dunno)... either way, this is much, much better. :)

I LOVE orb spiders. I used to have a spider phobia. Could not even look at them. The harmless orbs have gotten me over that. I even held a tarantula once when a friend showed me how harmless they are. I mean, I could not even look at a PHOTO of a spider without cold sweat on my forehead. This is great. I love the way you composed this.
