Tessa Gordon said (2 Oct 2007):

    Actually, it made me cringe.
How do we know the "dog is loving it"?
    That's anthropomorphism.
As a dog lover myself It doesn't sit comfortably with me.

Karen Zimmerman said (23 Feb 2008):

I'm all for gravity-defying dogs who choose to launch themselves under their own power, but this little guy has no choice. I feel sorry for that dog. One miss, and he'll have broken bones from that height.

  • Tracy Johnson

Tracy Johnson said (13 May 2008):

That dog is most definitely NOT loving it. His body language clearly indicates fear and stress. If he were loving it, his tail wouldn't be tucked and his mouth would be relaxed and open. It IS an interesting pic, but the dog isn't happy.

Joshua Reiniger gave props (18 Jun 2008):

I'll admit that I, for one, wouldn't feel comfortable enough with my hand-eye coordination to toss a dog like that. On topic, though, this is an excellent photo, capturing a moment in a very interesting way. Anthropomorphism or not, the dog seems to be looking at the camera and thinking "Aw, what the Hell!..."

JPG, don't encourage people to mistreat animals by labeling photos like this as being "hot". SO wrong.

That dog is high enough that his shadow appears in the shot.

I've been to the Dominican Republic many times (next door to Jamaica), and thats just kinda the way it is. But I still find the image a bit disturbing.

There is just so much danger here. The guy may be loving it, but I'm not sure about that poor dog. Definitely a thumbs down for me !

  • Ivan Muniz

Ivan Muniz said (26 Mar 2015):

This picture is proof that the world's human population should be cut in half. That poor dog was probably scared shitless being tossed in the air like that. And to think how many times it was thrown just to get this ridiculous shot. Taken in 2007? I hope this dog has found a better home by now. Doubt it.

Remove the photo. It's animal cruelty.
