It is the road near the highest mountain in Ukraine Hoverla. Every season it is the place of visiting for many people. You can meet here young students and also pretty old couples. The road is rather steep. But this mountain pull like a magnet thousands of pilgrims every year.

I like this photograph very much. Even though it is an image of a specific place in the Ukraine it is also very much like some other place, a place others have also seen, in another place or another country. The rain, the fog and the rutted road makes this a memory for many of us. I like photos that describe our shared human experience.

The road leading into the mist is beautiful ...The patch of red weeds on the right of the road adds the right amount of color to balance with the gold tones.
