This photo was taken at Santa Monica Beach in California 2006. This won me Grand Prize at the Platte County Fair in 2007 for not only the picture but the story behind it. In 2004, I lost one of my dear friends in an auto accident as a result of the driver being intoxicated. He left her for dead at the scene and was later found early in the morning. He was never convicted, for the simple fact that his family has money, and now her family and friends are only left with the memories we have of her today. He loved footprints more then anything. I now make it my journey that everytime I am on a beach I take a walk, think about my dear friend, and take a picture in rememberance of her. This was the first one taken and is so dear to my heart. It is like she is right here with me. RIP Amy Doty
