On my many bike rides through Long Beach, I met this man standing and waiting by the local corner store.
I introduced myself, offered to pay him a couple of dollars for his story, and he shared.
"They call me Snowman. I am Native American. I am homeless. I sleep in the shelter (if I'm lucky), or at the park during the night, and I stand here hoping for beer money during the day."
Then he directed me toward the Eagle on his shirt, and said "It's my American Dream"....ha, ha, ha.
It's a sad but true story all around us that makes me appreciate my life, no matter how hard at times.

Lovely story. Simple and touching. Snowmen unfortunately are everywhere. This one has the chance to talk and be photographed. One of those things that make their dream come true.
The eagle is innocent. It doesn't have a hand in what happens.
Thanks for sharing. -

Just A Man on the Street making his way without asking for much if anything at all. What good are commitments, what's so important, is it Life & Death? No, not to Snowman, looking for a simple Unencumbered Life as he wants and views how it should be.

A Quote For You Ahmed: "If you wish to glimpse inside a human soul and get to know a man, don't bother analyzing his ways of being silent, of talking, of weeping, or seeing how much he is moved by noble ideas; you'll get better results if you just watch him laugh. If he laughs well, he's a good man." ~ Fyodor Dostoevsky. -
