mouths wide shut

I saw those kids exactly in that posture back in August 2003 in the Aleppo market (north of Syria). I was immediately attracted by their enigmatic gestures: Why did they have their hands on their mouths? Were they sick? Were they related to one another--brother and sisters? Their colorful attires point to Bedouin-rural origins. Regrettably, there was no way I could talk to them. I did this single shot, and left immediately. Their enigmatic gesture is still in my mind.
