Connie, I used a 70-300mm lens.... I was not close to them.

What a great capture, Frank! At first glance when I first saw it in the smaller version I thought they were in water...fording a river or something and I thought..I didn't know deer did that...caribou, but not deer...then I took a closer look....:-)
