King Bikramaditya has started the solar calendar some two thousand years ago as a Bikram Sambat. The first day of Bikram Sambat Old city of Nepal Bhaktapur, which is 15 Kilometers east of Capital Kathmandu will celebrate this festival for four days. During this festival local people of Bhaktapur erect tall wooden called in main squares as a symbol of victory in Mahabharata.
