Shlaer is one of the major figures in the modern resurrection and popularization of the daguerreotype process. I don’t usually alter my portraits, but it seemed appropriate to add a sepia toned look to this version of my portrait of Robert.
This portrait is in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution's American History Museum and in my book, Insights: The Portraiture of Charles R. Rushton, http://www.crushton.com.

El color sepia le hacen el honor a la barba, los tirantes de los pantalones y sobre todo a la cámara.Un retrato redondo.

i had not heard of the daguerreotype process before but now, thanks to you, i can find out about it. obviously, not everybody has the patience and commitment to do it, including me, but your photo portrait is very appealing and strong. thanks again.

Beautiful Portrait, I'm a Daguerreotype fan myself, though I have no Idea how the process works, and I'm still researching about it, hopefully I'll get to try it one day.
