June 2007.
Wild weather had been pushing up from the Antartic Circle raking the East Coast of Australia. Further North, in Newcastle, it was enough to put a bulk carrier transport ship ashore. In Sydney it whipped up large waves and lashed the coast providing a challenge for the Surf Rescue on Sydney's beaches.
