An ant’s eye view of the Seiden, the building where the king held court, taken from the courtyard at Shuri Castle in Naha Okinawa where the Ryukyu Kings held court in medieval ancient times. The whole structure reflects the strong influence China held over the region. All the castle buildings are a miniature of the Forbidden City in Peking China.

In the Castle Bust photo essay.
