Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

A: Do you know?

Thanks Ebrahim and Tricia! It was quite dark in that part of the woods.

Unique, appealing... would not be nearly so had you not darkened the background-- genius move! Your hand is young and beautiful... stark contrast to the leaf, which--although colorful-- is dying. We could read a lot into this and those possibilities all make the image intriguing. I especially also like that the leaf is resting enough above your hand to cast its shadow gently. There's a 2nd contrast [minimally in size and coloration] between the 2 predominant leaves which is very nice! .
