what makes up my personal stash of memorabilia are alot of little things, mostly pictures in my mind but this little doll in her glass case reminds me of my daddy. My dad was in the Navy, I barely remember him ever being home when I was young... when I was 7 to 9 yrs old he was station is Japan and he sent me this doll near the end of his two yr time there, she has traveled with me through the years and is a little woren - but she remains my favorite - because I got her the year my daddy retired from active duty and joined the reserves and we got to move to a house of our own and my daddy came home every night.
She came to school with me for show and tells - when I got in the upper grades she came with me when we were learning about the world.
This little doll holds a life time of memories... Nov 2010 I got to travel to Japan a life long dream of mine, I was not disappointed♥

Pray for the people of Japan, today they had great loss in Northern Japan. My ♥ hurts for them today. I just heard from my friends they are okay, but the northern parts of Japan are going to need help. Please help me pray for them 3/11/11

A vital memento. I remember my mother these dolls during the war. Too bad we didn't value them.
