Fantastic shot!...I love the high horizon, and the soft bumpy texture in the foreground that shifts visually to ultra fine in the upper portion of this photo. This would be a great example to show some of the ways to create the illusion of 3-D (or in the case of painting, simulate 3-D) on a two dimensional surface. e.g. Things higher on a picture plane appear further back in space. Detail appears closer and soft focus further, creating the illusion of depth. Muted color appears further away, and hue with intensity appear close. And large objects made smaller and placed high appear to be distant....How different things would have appeared if this image would have stopped just below the people. Great looking minimal image John!
