Statistically speaking, women were much harder to photograph than men, their sleep is much lighter. So the answer to your question is: with patience and little sleep... The absolute requirement that I imposed was that the person being photographed needed to be asleep for real. Fun, huh? =] However, in the process somehow I realised that I was actually taking pictures of the empty space next to the "sleeper". I use Canon EOS 400D - settings variable. This photo had 1/4 exposure, aperture F/4.5, ISO400. With Tamron 18-250 mm lens.
