Photographer's legacy

This is Varouj S. Ishkhanian a photographer that I met years ago in the old city of Jerusalem. His grandfather documented Jerusalem with his 8X10 in the mid to late 1800s. His father continued in the early 1900 and in the 50's he took over the business. He photographed Peter O'Toole while he was shooting Lawrence of Arabia and he's most proud of shooting the King Abdullah of Jordan. His son now continues the legacy. I've bought several prints from him over the years.
In this picture he holds a picture of himself as a young man.

I like the relativity of the subject and the environment. You really don't need to understand it or get it with the prologue, it is comprehended by itself in the photograph.
