River Bed and Covered Bridge
The bridge in the background was originally built in 1760, re-built in 1842. Folklore has it that Gen. Washington fell into this river, or at least his horse did. Strange what history records.
The river bed is metamorphic rock that has been channeled and eroded into alien shapes by the (usually) rushing water grinding small pebbles into potholes. Very cool geology, but doesn't translate well into a photograph with my limited skills.

You're kidding, right?!? (about the skills) Your photos are some of the ones I look forward most to seeing! You capture things beautifully, and as a bonus, always have good information to share.
